Welcome to our Online Learning Portal for Advanced Diploma students!
Here you will find all of the required Lessons and Tutorials for the whole program, along with Class Links, Lesson Scripts, Reading Material, Videos and Handouts for each lesson.
** Please Note **Do not use the Enter/Return Button when completing Quizzes, as it will automatically Submit the Quizat the point you hit enter. You will then need to reset the quiz and start again
Please download everything, read thoroughly and we suggest filing together for easy reference for each Module. You will find a complete study guide for each Lesson, that you can print out, and use for note taking. A tip for taking quizzes is to put the answers on a word doc and complete the quiz, then copy and paste into the quiz when complete. That way you always have a back up copy should technology do what it does best 😉.
We ask that students check emails regularly, as we rely heavily on email communication for class changes, new video uploads, class resource emails, and general information emails about what’s happening in out HTA Tribe and community. Please always read emails in full to avoid asking questions about things already shared. Please check emails in spam/junk and if you see HTA emails in here mark them as NOT SPAM/JUNK.
Please read ALL material contained in the module for your upcoming lesson and print your scripts out 1 week prior to the upcoming lesson and practice it many times so you flow with the script and don’t come across as robotic in class practice. Class is designed to discuss and practice as much as possible so please come prepared. A tip for getting familiar is to record the script into your phone and listen to it back multiple times
Really familiarise yourself with your Learning Portal and what it contains i.e HTA Resources & Documents contains most of the information and docs you will need during your Training, such as:
Study Contracts – These are a condition of entry into your Advanced Diploma. If you haven’t signed and returned yours to John , your Diploma may be withheld, so please download a copy now and return.
Reflection Form Link – This needs to be completed and submitted after each class. We need one for every class in your file by the end of your learning to graduate
HTA Recommended Therapists. For your 3 compulsory personal sessions, you will find a list of our HTA recommended Therapists on the website under HTA Recommended Therapists. All are HTA trained
Student Personal therapy Sessions are capped at $120 with ALL Therapists.

Study Group Required Hours – You are required to join a Study Group with your Tribe buddies and practice what you learn in class. Each Unit has its own specific required hours. Your Trainers will help set you up in Study groups in your 1st class.
Study Group Log Sheet – This is to log your study hours. 30% may be personal study.
Client History Forms (example only) – Midway through your Training you will begin to use Client History Forms to get familiar with using them with your future clients.
Class Checklist – This is for you to keep track of classes you have attended
Facebook Study Group Links for each Tribe – Eagles, Butterflies & Dolphins. We strongly recommend you join the HTA student Success Group as well as your cohort group as many messages are posted here directly
In the Advanced Diploma, it is not expected you will memorise your scripts 100%. We do expect you will memorise it enough to be fully present with your practice partner. When asked to submit videos, Scripts can be used as long as you remain “present” with your client.
We ask that you do not race ahead with portal work, especially quizzes as there is much learning and information in the lives zoom classes which will be relevant.
Please read through lesson 1C first, as it will set the framework to reframe your mindset.
If, when you join, Psychotherapy is already underway, don’t stress, the next class will start again after next year. You may not join a class already underway unless previously agreed with your Director of Training .
Take your time and absorb each Lesson thoroughly, record each new script onto your phone, and listen to it over and over until you can comfortably adlib.
